The Kookaburra
The Kookaburra is mostly know for his loud laugh.
After this site is a little bit complete i will record his laugh and place it on the site.
This is really a special bird once you seen and heard one,
waking up with the sound of a kookaburra is every day something special
Note : It has a special way of killing his pray, it smashes it against a tree or drops it from a great height
(if i can ever make a picture of doing this i will certainly put it up here)
They loud laugh is a way of defending there territorium
food : snakes, rats, small chicks of birds, mice, insects, ...
Habitat : Mostly in Australia

De Kookaburra is voornamelijk gekend door zijn luid gelach.
Ik zal als ik nog eens veel tijd heb het eens opnemen en op de site plaatsen.
Deze vogel is zeker de moeite waard, als je er ooit een gezien en gehoord hebt, zal je waarschijnlijk wel weten waarom.
De kookaburra dood zijn prooi met zijn bek, hij laat het op de grond vallen van grootte hoogte, of slaat het tegen een boom.
Waarom de Kookaburra lacht ? om voornamelijk zijn territorium te verdedigen.
Voedsel : van kleine slangen, ratten, kuikens, muizen tot insecten
Lengte : 40-48 cm
Aantal eieren : 2-5
